Hello my name is Nick,
I have lived in Lympne for 30years and in nearby West Hythe for 10years before that.
I joined “The Friends of Lympne Airfield” to raise awareness of the wildlife under threat from major housing developments proposed for our village.
The wildlife pictures on this site are just a small part of what I and others have found on the Airfield (not all things are easily photographed) nearly 400 species so far.
Also included are pictures of wildlife from around the parish of Lympne because of the great variety in our area, for example one of Britain’s smallest birds (Goldcrest) can be found here along with one of the largest (Grey Heron)
We hope to include a section that could be updated monthly “What to look out for this month” this is where you can help.
If you wish to contact me with sightings and photographs of wildlife in Lympne and the Airfield we may publish them here, with your permission, on this web site. I can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
